Disclosed is a light source for lighting, wherein a shell member is configured from a long base (30) and a long translucent cover (20). The light source for lighting is provided with a substrate (11) placed on the base (30), and an LED element (12), which is disposed on the substrate (11), and which is covered with the translucent cover (20). The base (30) has a placing section (31) for placing the substrate (11), a shell section (32) having at least a part thereof exposed to the outside, and a connecting section (34) that is provided in a hollow region surrounded by means of the placing section (31) and the shell section (32). The connecting section (34) is sandwiched between the placing section (31) and the shell section (32), and is disposed at a position facing the LED element (12). |
