<p>The invention relates to a hybrid magnet (4) of the type that comprises a first material consisting of ferrite and a second material comprising at least one rare earth. According to the invention, the magnet comprises a core (3) consisting of the first material and a peripheral part (5) consisting of the second material at least partially surrounding the core. According to one form of embodiment, the second material comprises neodymium, boron and iron. The second material can consist of a powder of a neodymium-iron-boron alloy in a matrix. As such, the matrix can consist of a plastic material, preferably phenylene polysulfide or polyamide. The production method consists in overmoulding the ferrite core with a mixture of: the magnetic alloy powder containing rare earths, and a thermoplastic binder. Preferably, the magnetic alloy is the neodymium-iron-boron alloy and the thermoplastic binder is phenylene polysulfide or polyamide.</p> |
