The invention relates to a structural element for furniture and other uses, comprising a part (1) having two or more areas (3), in consecutive sections having a different orientation in the space, having a central zone (2) that can be folded, where there is at least one recess (21) or milling which runs the entire width (a) of the part, and which spans practically the entire thickness (g) of the part, apart from a narrow portion (22) that is open on one side and closed on the opposite side, forming a blunt edge. Preferably, there are a plurality of recesses (21) that form parallel and equidistant, rectangular or wedge-shaped channels that are open via the hidden face (o) of the part (1) and closed via the visible face (v). The part (1) is made of wood or another suitable material, forming a solid body, and has an external layer on the visible face (v) thereof and a centre made of a different material. |
