摘要 Processing image data for image sequence display comprises receiving image data representing at least one current image portion of the sequence, e.g. a subdivision grid for multi-projection system image sequence display. First time information representative of an expected completion time of the current image receipt (t4) is determined based on at least one of an image sequence image period and the delay for receiving the image data from a source (t0 t0), and a second time information representative of a scheduled time of current image display (SOF) is also determined. The first and second time information are compared. The comparison result triggers the display of either the current image or an image based on at least one precedent image (e.g. the precedent image itself). In this way, if the image is expected to be received in time, its displayed, otherwise a previous image is displayed. The first time information may be received with the image data. The scheduled time may be determined according to a display frame rate. The image based on at least one precedent image may be a result of a motion estimation process between successive frames of the video sequence.
