Provided is an absolute encoder, capable of transmitting rotation position data at high speeds. The absolute encoder (1) is an absolute type encoder capable of detecting a rotation position as rotation position data. A bit dividing part (110) divides the rotation position data by a specific bit length. An incremental signal transmitting part (120) calculates the number of counts for each divisional data, divided by the bit dividing part (110), and transmits an incremental signal corresponding to the number of counts to an upper device (2). |
