PURPOSE:To improve the disharmony of the level of a sound in a sound piece by correcting the amplitude at each position in the sound piece according to a set gain value selected for the sound piece which is read out of a sound memory. CONSTITUTION:A sound piece selecting circuit 2 is controlled by a control circuit 3 and sound data which is read out of the sound memory 1 is selected in sound piece units and supplied to an amplitude correcting circuit 7. In a gain table 4, on the other hand, gain values A and B at the foremost and rearmost parts of the sound piece are set as gain values for correcting the amplitude of each sound piece in consideration of the harmony of the level of the sound and the level of the sound in the sound piece with other sound pieces. A gain selecting circuit 5 is controlled by the control circuit 3 simultaneously with the sound piece selecting circuit 2 and the gains at the foremost part and rear most parts of a specific sound piece are selected and supplied to a gain characteristic generating circuit 6, which finds and supplies an in-sound-piece to gain characteristic to the amplitude correcting circuit 7, where the amplitude is corrected for the specific sound piece from the sound piece selecting circuit 2 according to the gain characteristics. Consequently, the disharmony of the level of the sound in the sound piece is improved. |
