<p>The invention relates to a method for stiffening the membrane of an acoustic transducer, which method also enables stiffening of the membrane of an acoustic transducer at a later stage, such that said method can also be applied as an after treatment for improving the frequency range of existing loudspeakers. This is achieved by the application of a stiffening mesh on the front and/or rear face of the membrane of an acoustic transducer, the subsequent coating of the membrane using applied stiffening mesh comprising at least two synthetic resins, wherein in a first stage a polyester resin layer is applied and cured, which is then coated and joined by an epoxy resin in the second stage and the final application of an acrylic coating on the front and/or rear face of the membrane.</p> |
