发明名称 Improvements in felts and processes and apparatus for the manufacture thereof
摘要
1,126,475. Fibrous fabrics. B. RUDLOFF. 21 Feb., 1966 [27 Sept., 1965; 9 Nov., 1965], No. 7456/66. Headings DIN and D1R. A process for the continuous manufacture of unwoven felts comprises the introduction during the formation of the felt of continuous filiform reinforcements i.e. threads or strands. The fibrous material forming the felt is introduced into a mixing chamber after powdered resin has been. added thereto. The mixing chamber is maintained under partial vacuum to create turbulence of the fibrous material and resin, the fibrous material being drawn into the chamber by a spiked drum. The reinforcing threads are directed into the chamber through an interchangeable perforated guide, and the threads together with the fibrous material are drawn between the nip of two suction drums situated at one end of the chamber, Figs. 1 and 2 (not shown). The formed fleece is then conveyed through a polymerisation tunnel in which it is subjected to streams of hot air. The felt may then be cut to size and rolled. Additional charges, such as mineral powdered products, grains of cork, polyester or polyurethane foam or wood sawdust, may be added to the fibrous material prior to entry into the mixing chamber. Examples of reinforcing threads given are twisted or cabled cotton, flax, jute, hemp or ramie or metal wires.
