The present invention relates to a mobile terminal which recognizes a position of an object using ultrasonic waves. The mobile terminal includes: a sound output unit which generates ultrasonic waves toward an object; a plurality of microphones which detects the ultrasonic waves reflected from the object; and a controlling unit which measures coordinates of the object based on the round-trip time of the ultrasonic waves.
