PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface mounting type light-emission device having a reflector using dry type unsaturated polyester resin component which is excellent in thermal discoloration resistance, storage stability performance, handling ability and processability, and a manufacturing method for the same.SOLUTION: A surface mounting type light-emission device has a light-emission element 10, a first resin body 40 which has a recess portion 40c and is integrated with a first lead 20 and a second lead 30, the light-emission element 10 being mounted on the first lead 20, and the second lead 30 being electrically connected to the light-emission element 10, and a second resin body 50 which covers the light-emission element 10. The first resin body 40 is a reflector molded by using a dry type unsaturated polyester resin component containing unsaturated polyester resin obtained by mixing unsaturated alkyd resin and crosslinking agent, polymerization initiator, an inorganic filler, a white pigment, and a fibrous reinforcement material. The contact portions of the surfaces of the first lead 20 and second lead 30 with the first resin body 40 are provided with rough surface portions formed by laser irradiation, blast processing or grinding. |
