The method includes sending a request to send (RTS) message from a transmitting node to a receiving node, the RTS message indicating a data transmission bandwidth to be considered for use in subsequent data transmission and establishing a negotiated data transmission bandwidth comprising multiple channels, wherein each channel comprises a 20 MHz bandwidth, and wherein the multiple channels are at least one of contiguous and non-contiguous in frequency. |
