The present invention relates to a magnesia cement composition having improved waterproofness, which comprises magnesium oxide, magnesium chloride and a modified sulfur binder, wherein the modified sulfur binder is prepared by melting sulfur with a modifying agent for sulfur, composed of 0.1 to 100 parts by weight of a dicyclopentadiene-based modifying agent and 0.01 to 200 parts by weight of a heterocyclic amine modifying agent, an alkyl amine modifying agent, or an amine-based modifying agent, a mixture thereof, based on 100 parts by weight of sulfur. According to the present invention, a water absorption rate is remarkably low compared to a conventional magnesium board or a CRC board to effectively inhibit proliferation of fungi, thereby improving anti-bacterial properties and minimizing exfoliation from a core.
