PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device capable of outputting light having a wide spectrum width and light having a narrow spectrum width and variable at a central wavelength, from a single light source device.SOLUTION: There are provided a light source of emitting first pulse light and a nonlinear optical medium which generates second pulse light having a wavelength different from the first pulse light due to incidence of the first pulse light. The central wavelength of the first pulse light is variable, striding over a zero dispersion wavelength of the nonlinear optical medium.
