PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery in which exfoliation of an active material layer and slid drop of an active material are suppressed.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing an electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery comprises: preparing first composite particles containing a first active material and a first binder and second composite particles 2 which are higher in fluidity than the first composite particles 1 and contain a second active material and a second binder; setting a band-shaped power collector 36 at at least one of end portions along the longitudinal direction of an elongated power collector 32 and supplying the first composite particles 1 to a first part P1 as a band-shaped area adjacent to the power collector 36; supplying the second composite particles 2 to a second part P2 as an area nearer to the center in the width direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the power collector 32 than the first part P1; and rolling the first and second composite particles 1, 2 supplied onto the power collector 32 to form an active material layer. |
