PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch device and a load control system that can suppress occurrence of a trouble caused by erroneous wiring or the like.SOLUTION: A polarity switching unit 13 contains an overcurrent protection circuit 134. When current output from output terminals 132, 133 exceeds an upper limit value, a stop signal is output from the overcurrent protection circuit 134 to a controller 131. Upon reception of the stop signal, the controller 131 turns off all of electric field effect transistors of an H bridge circuit 130 to stop supply of the output current. As a result, no excessive current continuously flows in a switch device 1, so that occurrence of a trouble caused by erroneous wiring or the like can be suppressed. |
