METHOD OF INSPECTING FUEL BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of inspecting a fuel battery that can shorten an inspection time.SOLUTION: A method of inspecting a fuel battery inspects leakage of gas in a fuel battery having a cell stack for generating power by using hydrogen-contained gas. The cell stack is provided on a holding member so as to erect from the holding member, and a combustion part for combusting off-gas discharged from the cell stack is formed on the cell stack. The cell stack is supplied with hydrogen-contained gas from one end side at the lower portion of the cell stack. The fuel battery inspecting method comprise: a start-up step of starting up the fuel battery; a stop step of stopping the fuel battery after a predetermined time elapses under the state that the temperature of the combustion part is not less than the temperature under rated power generation of the fuel battery before the fuel battery starts power generation and the temperature increase speed of the combustion part is reduced to not more than a fixed value; and an inspection step of inspecting the presence or absence of leak during the stop step or after the stop step.
