FIELD: agriculture.SUBSTANCE: feeding of snow and (or) ice by the loading device is carried out into the receiving hopper of the thawing chamber. In the hopper the snow and (or) ice is carefully crushed. By the screw and gravitational forces the crushed mass is moved to the thawing chamber. While moving down along the warmed walls of the chamber the mass is partially converted into water under the influence of gases emerging from the registers. Then the snow-water mixture is supplied to the rows of the heated registers and finally turns to water. The registers are located at least at three levels, at an angle to each other and form a sort of grids. The meltwater is subjected to primary treatment with hydrocyclones and fine cleaning with ultrafilter, microfilter, adsorber and in the UV block.EFFECT: increase in efficiency of the method of production of water from snow and ice, and improvement of the process of treatment of water resulting in the thawing chamber.2 cl, 2 dwg
