Provided is a method for compensating a momentary power failure of an inverter. The method includes the following steps: reducing an output frequency of an inverter in order to obtain regenerative energy if it is determined that a power failure occurs while the inverter is being driven; controlling fluctuations in the output frequency of the inverter in accordance with the size of current and a voltage level based on an output current and a DC-link voltage of the inverter; increasing an output voltage of the inverter in order to prevent the current from flowing excessively when power restoration occurs in a power failure state; and returning to a speed of the momentary power failure by monitoring the output current of the inverter and gradually increasing the output frequency of the inverter in a state where the output current of the inverter does not exceed an overcurrent threshold value. |
