The invention relates to a system for day/night viewing and driving a terrestrial vehicle by using some sensors which allow the widening of the visual field, the fusion and switching of acquired images. According to the invention, the system comprises a sensor block (2) for forward viewing, which is mounted outside, on a body of a car and which comprises an infrared viewing module, a CCD/EMCCD viewing module within the visible light spectrum, and an image intensification viewing module with self-protection (ICU), an azimuth rotation and elevation system (3), a module (1) for control, supply and display which comprises a multifunctional display with video control circuit, a block controlling the rotation of the sensor block (2), a switch for selecting the images from the sensors or the fusioned image and a block for continuously mixing the video signals from the viewing module within the range of infrared light and of visible light spectrum in variable ratios, said mixing block being controlled by a potentiometer and a colour camera module (4) for rearward viewing. |
