PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold for bead-method foaming synthetic resin molding which allows reduction of production costs of a mold, reduction of the heating and cooling times for the mold, weight saving, making beautiful the surface quality of a molding and time reduction of cooling and drying steps.SOLUTION: A mold 1 is used in bead-method foaming synthetic resin molding which comprises charging foamable beads of a thermoplastic resin into a molding space formed by the pair of molds 1 consisting of a core mold 2 and a cavity mold 3, heating the foamable beads with vapor to fuse together and cooling and drying to obtain a molding of the foamable synthetic resin of an intended shape and has slit-like vapor holes 4, 4, ... which communicate with the inside and outside of the mold 1, allow the vapor to pass through and are formed directly in intended parts of the mold 1 (the core mold 2 and the cavity molde 3) of a three-dimensional shape formed by grinding and/or casting. At the positions of the slit-like vapor holes, the surface of the mold 1 opposite to the molding space has no hollows for residence of cooling water for the cooling. |
