The present invention patent application relates to a new prosthesis to lead purified, humidified and heated or conditioned air from the rear region of the nose or rhinopharynx to the trachea, through the deep plane of the neck, the prosthesis being invisible after implantation and formed by a cylindrical tube with two open ends and two curvatures 1C and 1D. One of the ends has a diameter at leas twice the diameter of the rest of the tube. This end has an opening 1G in the upper part thereof for the passage of air and a small wall 1F in the lower part thereof to prevent secretions from entering the tube. A second embodiment of the present prosthesis, with the same aim and function as the first, has a bifurcation at one end for air to enter the nasal cavities instead of the rhinopharynx, in which both ends have a third curvature, besides curvatures 1C and 1D, like in the first prosthesis, which curvatures face downwards towards the floor of the nose to allow the selective entry of air only, not of secretions. |
