PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detachable unit state detection unit configured to prevent a detachable unit from being determined to be mounted when the detachable unit is not mounted.SOLUTION: A detection unit 51 includes: a first switch 57a which biases a disc member 53 engaged with a paper casette mounted on a device body by means of a spring 57, to move the paper casette engaged with the disc member 53 to a mount-completed position, and selects first state or second state; and a cam section 54b which can be moved to a first position for setting the first switch 58a in the first state, and a second position for setting the first switch 58a in the second state. The cam section 54b moves in synchronization with the disc member 53. The cam section 54b is located in the first position when the paper casette is located in the mount-completed position. When the paper casette and the disc member 53 are not engaged with each other, the disc member 53 is moved to a predetermined position by a biasing force of the spring 57. When the disc member 53 is located in a predetermined position, the cam section 54b is located in the second position. |
