<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus that enables a photographer to take an image which he or she desires.SOLUTION: A motion detection unit 109 detects the motion of the imaging apparatus, and a scene discrimination unit 105 discriminates imaged scene from an acquired image signal. An imaging mode setting unit 106 sets a coefficient on the basis of the motion detected by the motion detection unit. When the number of times of the same discrimination result continuously obtained by the scene discrimination unit reaches the coefficient set by the setting unit, the imaging mode setting unit 106 switches the imaging mode of the imaging apparatus to an imaging mode corresponding to the discrimination result of the scene discrimination unit.</p> |
