PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow guard which reinforces a flat plate piece without forming a gap between upper and lower roof boards that pinch the flat plate piece, and protects the flat plate piece from being bent and deformed due to the load of snow. SOLUTION: The snow guard A is produced by forming a snow guard projection 2 at an eaves-side end of the flat plate piece 1 and a fixing piece 3 at a ridge-side end of the same. The flat plate piece 1 has a reinforcing rib 6 protruded therefrom along an eaves-ridge direction. The reinforcing rib 6 is inserted into a gap between mutually adjacent side edges of the roof boards 5 laid side by side in a ridge direction. By virtue of reinforcing effect by the reinforcing rib 6, bending deformation of the flat plate piece 1 is prevented. Further the reinforcing rib 6 is inserted into the gap between the side edges of the roof boards 5, and therefore by virtue of the reinforcing rib 6, formation of the gap between the upper and lower roof boards 5 is eliminated.
