PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a communication route again between two packet ring networks through the other packet ring network even when a fault occurs between the above two packet ring networks and to prevent broadcast storm or the like. SOLUTION: When a fault occurs in an interlink 5011, an interlink node 3a transmits an interlink fault report packet to a bypass route node 3b. The bypass route node 3b makes a bypass route node 2d recognize the interlink fault and the bypass route nodes 3b and 2d are opened from a closed state. Also, the interlink nodes 1b and 3a and the bypass route node 2d transmit an address table invalidation report packet to make respective nodes within a ring to which the node belongs invalidate an address table, and the respective nodes re-learn the address table.
