PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high durable electrophotographic photoreceptor, reducing the occurrence of scumming in repeated use, preventing residual potential, and reducing the occurrence of dielectric breakdown in charging using a contact charging means or an adjacent charging means. SOLUTION: This electrophotographic photoreceptor includes: a support and at least a conductive layer, a charge blocking layer and a photosensitive layer, which are provided in order on the support, wherein the photosensitive layer contains at least titanyl phthaocyanine crystal, and the electrophotographic photoreceptor has the maximum diffraction peak at least at 26.2°as the diffraction peak (±0.2°) of a Bragg angle 2θto a characteristic X-ray (wavelength of 1.542Å) of CuKα, and has peaks at 9.3°, 10.5°, 13.2°, 15.1°, 15.6°, 16.1°, 20.7°, 23.2°. 26.2°. 27.1°and 28.3°as well.
