<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and its driving method, and electronic equipment to prevent incorrect determination under the influence of outdoor daylight and exactly detect that an object has approached or contacted a display screen while suppressing the influence on the image quality without a high level of image processing. <P>SOLUTION: This display device has a display part 1 containing a plurality of display elements and photo-detection elements, a luminescence part 6 containing a light emitting element for coordinate information acquisition, a first control part 13 which controls the light emitting element of the luminescence part, a second control part 12 which controls selectively driving of the plurality of photo-detection elements, a signal processing part 8 for processing a detection signal acquired by detecting luminescence light of the luminescence part with the photo-detection element and acquiring the coordinate information, and a clock generation part 10 which supplies basic frequencies to the signal processing part, and the first and second control parts. The first control part 13 makes the light emitting element of the luminescence part emit light covering a signal luminescence period and stop period and makes it emit light with the basic frequencies overlapped with a signal being the coordinate information in the signal luminescence period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
