Method for inspecting multiple layer tablets

The method involves extracting moldings with layers after pressing in an extraction station in a testing process, and feeding the moldings to a testing station. One layer is strongly compressed before extraction of the moldings and during normal manufacturing of multiple layer tablets. The moldings from matrix holes (12) are supplied to the testing station. The layer is completely filled with powdery tablet material before initiating the testing process. Weight of the moldings is measured in the testing station. The moldings are ejected and extracted in the extraction station.
