PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in a conventional linear body winding device, in which a value adding a force of frictional resistance with respect to a guide material of wire to an actual tension value is detected when tension on the wound wire is detected, so that a real tension of the wire could not be detected and determination of whether or not the setting of tension of wire is appropriate is difficult and detection of winding collapse during the winding of the wire is difficult. SOLUTION: The linear body winding device 1 comprises: a pay-out device 30 paying out the linear body 50; a bobbin 21 winding the payed-out linear body 50 thereon; and a traversing device 10 having a nozzle 11 feeding the linear body 50 to the bobbin 21 while traversing the linear body 50. The nozzle 11 is a tubular member, and the linear body 50 is payed out from the nozzle toward a direction inclined to an axial direction of the nozzle 11, and distortion gauges 12xa*12xb*12ya*12yb are attached to an outer peripheral face of the nozzle.
