<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accordingly move consecutive lyrics by only selecting and moving a first part of lyrics whose vertical position is desired to move. <P>SOLUTION: The lyrics editing device includes: a display area setting means for setting an area where the lyrics is displayed; a lyrics selecting and moving means for selecting one piece of lyrics which is displayed on the screen area and moving its vertical position; a movement calculation means for calculating the movement of the lyrics which is moved by the lyrics selecting and moving means, based on coordinate information of the area which is set in the memory; a movement adding means for adding the movement which is calculated by the movement calculation means, to a display position of the lyrics which is consecutive to the moved lyrics; and a display control means for performing control that the consecutive lyrics is displayed at the position to which the movement is added.
