<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode catheter which hardly causes deformation of a catheter tip portion when the electrode catheter is pushed into a blood vessel with the catheter tip portion first, can be pushed into the blood vessel smoothly, and allows the catheter tip portion pushed from the tip portion opening of a sheath to be excellently restored in shape. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode catheter comprises a catheter body 10, a control handle 20, the catheter tip portion 30, and a plurality of ringlike electrodes 41 wherein the catheter tip portion 30 has a linear proximal end a side region 31 extending in the distal direction to reach the distal end 30D, a spiral body region 32 extending from the distal end 30D in the proximal direction while forming loops (321, 322) around the proximal end side region 31, and a distal end side region 34 extending from the tip portion of the body region 32 in the distal direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
