PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a search screen by a terminal device for a search operation even if reception of the whole moving picture data is not completed while achieving high response to the operation, and to display the search screen by a terminal device even for a nonlinear search operation in time without waiting for completion of the whole moving picture data.

SOLUTION: Upon receiving a transmission request from a terminal device 1, the data processing section 21 of a server 2 begins transmission of "moving picture data" and "data for search (#1)-(#n)" to the terminal device 1. The "data for search" is processed ad constituted to reduce the amount of the "moving picture data".
