PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record character information contained in an image and position information about a point of photographing while being association with image data. SOLUTION: On the basis of image data captured by an imaging element 203, an image processing engine 204 recognizes a character contained within an image, associates position information acquired by a GPS module 207 and the recognized character information with the image data captured by the imaging element 203, and records the associated information on a memory card.
