PURPOSE:To shorten the transfer time and the processing time for correction of firmware by transferring one compressed final correction data to a terminal to correct firmware at the time when the version number of firmware in a terminal is different from that to be corrected by two or more. CONSTITUTION:At the time of correcting the version number of firmware in a terminal 2, a version number inquiry processing 6 inquires the terminal 2 as the correction object of the version number of firmware; and when the difference between the version number inquired by the processing 6 and that of firmware to be corrected is two or more, a data compression processing 8 compresses data to final correction data where the latest correction data is set in a duplicate part, and this final correction data is transferred to the terminal 2 to correct firmware. Thus, the transfer time and the processing time for correction of firmware are shortened.
