<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply system and an image forming apparatus that enhances the charging efficiency, while preventing reverse current from an electricity accumulation means toward a charging means. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply system includes an auxiliary power supply 202, which is chargeable and dischargeable for driving a load; a charging circuit 401 for charging the auxiliary power supply 202; a switch 407 for making connection/disconnection of the auxiliary power supply 202 and the charging circuit 401; a delay control circuit 402 for delaying the output of a transistor-on signal (H) used for conduction control of a switch 407, until the output voltage of the charging circuit 401 exceeds a voltage of the auxiliary power supply 202; and a switching driver 403 for generating the transistor-on signal (H), which is delayed by the delay control circuit 402, to an nMOS transistor 505 and charging the auxiliary power supply 202 by the charging circuit 401. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
