A rock splitting method using the discontinuity and the free surface formed by link drilling is provided to maximize the rock splitting performance by classifying the rock types based on the development state of discontinuities existing on the rock and employing different shapes of free surfaces according to the rock types. A rock splitting method using the discontinuity and the free surface formed by link drilling comprises a first step of surveying the discontinuity state of rock and classifying the type of the rock(S101), a second step of deciding the establishment type of a free surface according to the type of the rock(S102), a third step of setting arrangement of rock splitting holes and the rock splitting direction according to the type of the rock(S103), a fourth step of forming a free surface according to the set free surface form and filling sand in the free surface(S104), a fifth step of boring the rock splitting holes and filling sand inside the bored rock splitting holes(S105), a sixth step removing the sand in the rock splitting holes and the free surface corresponding to the part to crush(S106), and a step of installing a slitter inside the rock splitting holes and crushing the rock of corresponding part(S107,S108).
