<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform heating cooking without losing heating power even if an infrared sensor becomes abnormal. <P>SOLUTION: When the output of an infrared sensor 4 becomes a first prescribed value or more, heating cooking control is performed by deciding the cooking container temperature by the infrared sensor 4 and the plate temperature or the like, and when it becomes a second prescribed value or more, the control by the infrared sensor 4 is invalidated regardless of existence of the cooking container 2 and an optimal control can be performed according to the situation, and furthermore, when the control by the infrared sensor 4 is difficult, the control can be promptly switched over to other control than that by the infrared sensor 4.
