PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a female terminal fitting effectively protecting an elastic contact piece, and with its downsizing facilitated. SOLUTION: On a front face side of the female terminal fitting 10, a left protection wall extended piece 31b of a left protection wall 31 and a right protection wall extended piece 32b of a right protection wall 32 are formed up to an underside of an elastic contact piece 14, that is, up to a position of a main body bottom plate part 12. Also, on both side faces, side face end part protection parts 21a, 22a are formed at a front face side end part of a main body left-side wall part 21 and a main body right-side wall part 22, respectively, up to a position at an underside of the elastic contact piece 14.
