PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a clear copy image can not be obtained by wrong determination regarding a mirror surface part, when an image of a label surface of disk media such as a CD is copied to the label surface of printable disk media. SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus is provided with a first reading means for reading specular reflection; and a second reading means for reading diffused reflection, determines the mirror surface part from the reading result by the first reading means, and performs replacement processing on the data of the mirror surface part in an image read by the second reading means, and so on.
