The bell hub for a planetary gear, with a casing section (102) and a planet carrier section (104), has the planet carrier section provided with a first and a second flange section (110, 112) which are manufactured separately from the casing section. The planet carrier section is manufactured in one piece as a cast part, especially from a planet carrier preform. The planet carrier section has openings (116) which are radially open towards the outside, the opening width of the openings allowing the equipping of the planet carrier section with planet wheels (118) from radially outside. An independent claim is included for a planetary gear with a bell hub according to the invention.
