Apparatus in which objects (9) and/or liquid introduced in to a lower portion of a tower structure (1) containing a column of liquid in which the objects (9) are buoyant. The objects (9) and/or liquid are removed from an upper portion of the tower structure (1) and are returned to the lower portion for re-insertion into the tower structure (1). The objects (9) and/or liquid are returned by a delivery structure (11) including a see-saw device in which a swing arm (45) rocks about a pivot (51) to operate one or more devices (47, 49) that provide or generate a power source.
