PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely and easily mount a damper to a piston or a cover member with simple constitution while the damper has predetermined cushioning force. SOLUTION: A cylinder tube 12 constituting a hydraulic cylinder 10 is provided with the piston 18 in a displaceable manner along an axial direction, and both end faces of the piston 18 are provided with damper grooves 70a, 70b extending almost orthogonally to an axis. The damper grooves 70a, 70b penetrate along the end faces of the piston 18, and dampers 72a, 72b formed of an elastic material are respectively mounted therein. Base parts 80 of the dampers 72a, 72b are inserted in first groove parts 74 constituting the damper grooves 70a, 70b, and guide parts 82 enlarged in width with respect to the base parts 80 are inserted in second groove parts 76 adjacent to the first groove parts 74 and enlarged in width.
