PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide circuit device having an external connection electrode suitable for plug-in mounting, and to provide a digital broadcast receiver. SOLUTION: The plug-in mounting circuit device 11 comprises a wiring board 12 provided with wiring layers on the upper surface (first major surface) and the lower surface (second major surface), and a semiconductor element 34 or the like and a package 14 or the like arranged on the upper and lower surfaces of the wiring board 12. A large number of external connection electrodes are provided along one side of the wiring board 12, and the area of an external connection electrode to which a fixed potential is applied is made larger that of the other external connection electrode.
