PURPOSE: An apparatus for displaying an electric program guide and a method thereof are provided to supply an EPG screen of one format according to a setup state or a selection signal, thereby enabling a viewer to freely change a format of the EPG screen according to information that the viewer needs. CONSTITUTION: EPG data is extracted from a broadcast signal(S301). The extracted EPG data is analyzed(S303). One format among the EPG formats is determined as an output EPG format. The analyzed EPG data is converted according to the determined output EPG format(S305). The converted EPG data is displayed on an EPG screen according to the output EPG format(S307). The output EPG format is determined according to a setup state or a real-time inputted selection signal. |
