<p>The invention relates to a machine for peeling potatoes and other root vegetables, the machine having reduced size, which makes it suitable for use for food preparation at home and in public food establishments with low production volume. According to the invention, the machine comprises a housing (1) inside which there are mounted two or several cylinders (3), on whose surface there are located some serrations for peeling, the mounting of cylinders (3) being carried out by means of some spindles (2) of some bearings (9), some protection covers (8, 10) and of some sealing rings (11) made of rubber, a fixed coupling bar (4) with smooth surface or having the surface provided with serrations, the housing (1) being closed by a cover (6) with hinges (5) whereon there is mounted a conduit (7) provided with holes along the generatrix and having at one end a nozzle for the connection to a water conduit, the cylinders (3) receiving a rotation motion from an electric motor (14) by means of a toothed gear (15, 13) in front of which there is mounted a guard (12).</p> |
