SHORTWAVE HELICOPTER ANTENNA

FIELD: physics; radio. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering, particularly to antenna engineering. The shortwave helicopter antenna has in the tail part of the helicopter a radiating circuit and a matching device which is connected to the opening between the element of the radiating circuit and the terminal of the coaxial cable of the power feeder. The radiating circuit is formed by a current-conducting bus on the outline of the rear edge of the horizontal stabiliser of the helicopter at least whose rear part is made from dielectric material. The bus is connected at one end through a low-capacitance antenna lead to the output of the matching device, and at the other - through a metal jumper to the metallic rear spar of the horizontal stabiliser. The spar is joined to the housing of the matching device through the metallic tail boom of the helicopter. ^ EFFECT: more efficient antenna radiation and reduction of aerodynamic resistance of the antenna. ^ 1 dwg
