The dishwasher (GS) has a control device comprising a washing program to control proper operation of the dishwasher. Pushbuttons are connected to the control device for modifying the washing program. A sorption drying system (TS) has a sorption container (SB) containing reversible dehydratable drying material (ZEO). An air flow passage (LS2) is connected to a washing container (SPB) to form an air flow channel. The sorption container has a geometry shape such that a default air flow direction is same as or contrary to the direction of gravity.
