The transmission circuit (25) has a wire pair (15) for transmission of a signal, and an output stage including branches that are arranged complementary to each other. The output stage is associated with two wires (19) of the wire pair. Outputs (BP, BM) of the output stage are connected with the respective wires. The branches have current sources, and an ohmic load is connected to the outputs. The ohmic load is switchable by controlling switching elements in a high-resistance condition.
