The hydrogen resistant steel component consists of steel material having particles finely distributed in its matrix. The particle has a size of 1 mu m and consists of a material having chemical component, which contains a first chemical element and a second chemical element. The first and the second chemical element are a chemical element, which possesses same valency in any chemical components. The material of the particle consists of a chemical component, which contains chemical element that adopts more than one valency in chemical components. The binding of hydrogen on the particles is constant up to a temperature of 150[deg] C. A phase boundary area is formed between the particles and the surrounding steel matrix and is partially seized with the second chemical element. The hydrogen present itself in the steel matrix stores itself in the second chemical element in the phase boundary area. The concentration of the particle in the matrix of the steel material is 0.1 vol.%. The particles are homogenously distributed in the matrix. A high concentration of the particle exists in the area of an edge zone adjacent to the surface of the steel part, as in the area of a core zone formed in the interior of the steel component. An independent claim is included for a method for the production of hydrogen resistant steel component.
|
