PURPOSE: A generating device, a playing device and a playing method of contents with scent playing information are provided to provide contents having a plurality of scent playing information. CONSTITUTION: A contents control unit(220) detects scent playing information about media data from contents including scent data, a plurality of perfume data, and scent playing information about a plurality of scent data. A media control unit(240) outputs a playing command of the media data to media player. A scent diffusion control unit(260) classifies a plurality of scent data detected by the contents control unit by each playing interval according to the scent playing information. The scent diffusion control unit controls an operation of scent diffusion device according to scent diffusion data generated by combining scent data which is relevant to each playing interval.
